About The Practice

Yoga Nidra — also now known as Non-Sleep Deep Rest — is a somatic meditation done lying down, eyes closed, guided by a voice. No movement. No prior experience required. (This free experience is designed for you to do at your desk though!) 

It guides the brain into the same restorative wave states as deep sleep while you remain conscious — awake, but deeply rested. In this state, the body restores itself at a cellular level in ways ordinary rest cannot replicate. Forty-five minutes has been shown to carry the restorative value of several hours of deep sleep. 

This practice has been used in clinical, therapeutic, and healing settings for decades. It is grounded in both ancient wisdom and modern research.
