This Will Be Fun
This isn't a class where we sit around and think about or talk about creativity. It's experiential. You will get out of your mind and into your body, opening up to yourself and creativity in a whole new way. We'll use body, breath, guided inner listening, and a little reflection. You don't need any prior experience. You just need to show up and play.

The Premise
Creativity is not something you force. It's something you become more available to.
Here's the fun part: creativity is life force in motion. It doesn't come from thinking. It doesn't come from your mind at all. Your mind is brilliant, don't get me wrong, it's just also kind of a mid-level manager. Excellent at keeping things safe and familiar. Not so great at anything new.
Creativity moves through a deeper, more magical channel: a larger field of consciousness. If you're available to it, you'll find it through presence, through intuition, and of course through imagination. As it moves through your unique spirit, gifts, and lived experience, it becomes something only you could bring into the world.
Think about it: electricity, flight, the phone in your pocket. None of it came from a mind rehashing what already existed. It came from somewhere bigger. You just need to be open for it to come through you. We just need to clear the channel.
We are all born with this capacity. Not some of us. All of us.

A NOTE FROM ME
I fell in love with making things by accident, in a ceramics class in college, and spent years as a sculptor. I learned to make creative things.
Then, for over twenty years, creativity became my business too. Fashion. Greeting cards. Gift and home products. I led large creative teams and helped sell millions of products. I knew how to run a creative company. That was also the problem. I was managing creativity, filtering it through what would sell. It was real, but it was always in service of something smaller than itself.
Alongside all of that, for just as long, I was on a different path: training in coaching, somatic work, healing, intuition. After decades of that expansion, I finally unlocked my truest gifts, and learned how to make creativity available instead of waiting for it to strike like lightning.
This six weeks is the thing I wish someone had taught me thirty years ago.
